Cost of Living 

As a pediatrician, I take care of families struggling with rising costs. Tourism, education, military, and tech may fuel the 69th District’s economy, but too many working Virginians feel left behind. As Delegate, I’m working tirelessly to lower the cost of childcare, prescription drugs, and other everyday necessities and support legislation to help working Virginians afford homes. I’m committed to eliminating the car tax, support tax incentives for small businesses, foster clean energy innovation, and develop programs that guide recent graduates into high-demand careers.

Affordable Healthcare

Every day, I look into the eyes of parents doing everything they can to keep their children healthy. As a lifelong pediatrician, I strive to provide the best possible care to families from all walks of life. As Delegate, I’m fighting to protect Medicaid coverage for nearly 1 million Virginians across the Commonwealth and expand access to services in rural parts of the 69th, no matter the havoc Donald Trump and RFK Jr. wreak in DC.

Education

As a pediatrician and dad of four York County public school graduates, I see how much a quality education matters. Small class sizes enable teachers to focus on each student, and higher pay helps to retain talented educators in our local schools. I work across the aisle to secure adequate funding for schools, improve school safety, and expand career and technical education programs. As Delegate, I’m focused on strengthening our public schools through smaller class sizes and higher teacher salaries.

Reproductive Freedom

As a physician, I know firsthand how personal medical decisions shape the lives of Virginia families. I have yet to meet a politician more qualified to make those decisions than a patient and her doctor. As Delegate, I have been a consistent vote to protect reproductive rights in the Virginia Constitution and defend comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including contraception, prenatal care, and in vitro fertilization, and remove barriers that disproportionately affect low-income and rural Virginians.
